Default CFSC : Central Florida Scalers and Crawlers

I checked on the FSTR thread and there is no activity there and appears to be dead. I am trying to start a club here for the few who enjoy this aspect of the hobby. I am very new to the Scaler / Crawler thing but I am not new to R/C as a hobby. I have built many different types of vehicles from Drifters to all out monster trucks. I'll post pictures of a few shortly but I'm starting this thread to gauge the interest of a club. Just post in this thread if you are interested. This would be a club that is put together for fun but to be taken serious at times as well. I enjoy and have fun with this hobby regardless of competition but there is no substitute to building and competing a vehicle from ground up and having the satisfaction of seeing your rig perform.

Here is an updated list of people who are interested. If you are not on the list and want to be please post a "ADD ME" reply.

Well that makes 2 of us..... not sure if 2 members even counts as a club. Anyways, Im sure we will have a few others cause Version_three is kindof forced into the club regardless. (yeah you are) I know superbleeder is def down and we met a few more new people this past weekend at the boat ramp that will definately be in. Really hope it catches on......

Here is the Wrangler back down on 1.9's

wow that thing looks completely different on 1.9s!

yeah I would be all for it, but just remember I'm 3 hours away, so I won't make it down but maybe once every other month or so...

@Travis, man it sucks you are that far away but you would be more then welcome to be apart of the club. It will be better with you as a part of it.

And I know it looks WAY DIFFERENT...... oh well rules are rules. Talk to you soon.

Well since you put it that way, I guess I'm in. After all, someone's gotta get pics of your rig when it's on its lid!

My fleet is gonna grow by 2 soon, but I gotta take it easy cuz I have some 1:1 expenses to deal with too.

Kind of a shame that FSTR seems to have died off.

I'm in the NE, out here in St. Augustine. I'd like to try and make it out to g'ville one of these days with my junk, if only it'd ever stay fixed long enough to make plans to actually go somewhere with it

What if I added scales? Would that be a scaler.

Lol at some of these posts. Yes you can be a part of the club even with that hybrid death machine. You will just have to go last on a scale trail comp run since it may not all be there after your rig goes through it. Lol

@version. Believe me I know all about the 1:1 expenses. It's my sons birthday at the end of this month and instead of me buying him his own scaler I have to pay for a birthday party at Monkey Joes. Damn party places are so expensive.

I believe one of the bead FSTR guys pm'ed me about keeping his site running as a moderator and such. May not be a bad idea since it's already established and running. We just need to bring it back to life. Get some excitement going for central florida crawling and scaling.

How early you wanna get started on sunday? I can go as early as 7:30am if I'm not gonna be the only one out there that early...

Side note: I'm still waiting for my friend in the sheriff's office to call me back so I can ask about using a bobcat to clear brush. I kinda think, if anything, the city/county might even be grateful

Well that would be awesome if we were able to... I would be down for 8:00am Im not getting up much earlier then that. Ill bring some hand tools to help clear some trail growth. This spot really has a lot of great areas besides the rock area. We just need to uncover it. Oh yeah here is the JK Build starting.... w/ 2.2's
