| Dean and University Spec. Build
HA HA HA, I decided to build another truck just for this spot (and spots similar) I am using a TRAXXAS Slash 4x4 platinum for my base and a New Bright JK Unlimited 4 Door body. It has a HobbyWing 120 amp ESC (programmable) and a 2300kv 1/8th scale Brushless motor. Will be running 2.2 Axial Rocksters and Proline Chisels for starters. I have a few pics for mock up of the body and wheels. Im really liking how this is starting to look. Turns out that the Slash 4x4 has a 13" wheel base, and whata ya know so does the JK body. So now just adjusting ride height and body mounting seems like my only issues. Here are some starter pics. I was gonna get a Wraith but I have already promised Version_three I would build a Comp Rig before I bought another rig. See Im really trying to do the Comp thing. |

Thanks man, there will be vids up once I get the suspension, body mounting all figured out. Should actually be a pretty fun rig to drive, kindof like Jang's Chimaira build (Slash 4x4 Monster Truck) with a little twist. I like it and I get to use my sweet Zombie Hunter JK. |

wow man, I know how quick that Slash was (I'm still wanting one by the way after you let me grab the trigger for a little while) I bet a Jeep looks a little funny scooting across the ground as fast as that thing will run lol is it top heavy? |

Honestly I dont believe it will really matter being top heavy. It was a bit top heavy on 2.2's on the SCX10 chasis but the Slash 4x4 is so WIDE Dont think it will be to bad once I get it setup. Going to go work on her now trying to get the body mounted. |

got my ax10 done and she is waterproof too!!!! Dean is drying out but there is still a nice HOLE i fell in. There will be plenty of roof to stretch the legs out with that new rig.... Have you eaten up any spurs on the brushless? Ive gone threw one everytime Im out there. I just dont get it. |

No issue with spurs on it just the trans gear I destroyed. Anyways thats all changed now anyways, the Monster ESC and Motor are in the Slash now with the JK body on it. My 2 SCX10's are back to normal one with the BRXL and the other with an AE-2 which will be changed out for a BRXL Combo 35t. With the spurs I tighten only enough to really get it moving this way the slipper will actually work. Making sure the mesh is right and not gonna do damage is important to. We will look at it when we all go out there. Should be a lot of fun with all these rigs we got here. |
