Are we plannin on a lot of water time or more trail running because I remember most of that area being very WATERY. Just curious on how much waterproofing I have to go over on my rigs. Ill be making my RPP order tomorow for parts this week. Maybe a run to Superior as well.

It will mostly be trail running, but you WILL need waterproofing. There will be water crossings and some mud. If not waterproofed, there will be a time penalty for carrying across.

Yep......expect water crossings but nothing crazy.

Will also have a good amount of trail running, some hillclimb sections, big obstacles, etc

For those with no winch, one will be available at the mandatory climb sections where winching is necessary.

The course will cover quite a distance so be prepared.

well son of a bitch... I spoke too soon, LOL. tried to test out a motor earlier and couldn't get the rx/tx to bind. opened up my SUPPOSE to be waterproof project box and found it FULL of moisture... the receiver is split open and air drying now, but if it's a loss I still have my old AR-2 system. the ESC box was the same way but it appears to still be functioning. I popped it open and its air drying just for good measure... so I'll be revisiting my waterproofing tomorrow and I'll have everything buttoned up and running in a couple days!

yeah I opened mine to switch over to the skyfly and it had some moisture in it. Nothing crazy but it looked like it was sweating. I am glad I didnt loose my receiver or ae2. I havent had any problems with my traxxas box and Ive completely submerged it several times.

I always silicone my box. I have the stock traxxas box and without silicone it leaks. Grease would also help. Just make sure you have the box where you want it as it's a PITA to open the box to make changes.

I still have to waterproof mine, replace a leaf spring, and go through the axles.

Couple of guys in Gainesville are bringing Wraiths as well.

Well thats good to know now. I havent had any problems and I abuse mine in the water, but I will add some extra protection.

SWEET! didn't kill my receiver just bench tested everything after it sat out and dried all day, and it works perfectly! so it's time to go nuts with some liquid electrical tape!

Be prepared to get your feet wet. You will have to walk across the creek.
