| Nighttime G6/scale comp?
Been thinking about an after dark scale GTG for quite a while now. I think that the clay pit I posted up about in the G6 thread would be the perfect place. Same basic set of rules as my G6 but you of course would need lights on your rig. No flaslights allowed(handheld or wearable) except for helping to work on your rig. I would drive the RV out so we would have a place to hang/repair/etc and have drinks/AC/power/etc....... I plan on heading out to the pit here in a bit to get some pics for everyone. Thoughts? Yes very cool idea I'm in maybe do an endurance challenge start just before dark and get a lap in before dark so u can see the course then everything else is dark for so many laps or distance kinda like a baja 500 All work must be done in the pits either limp back or towed in even battery changes to make a little strategy involved |

Nope, don't think so....................everybody will see the course before we start. All repairs are done on course. Plus....who is going to abandon their run so they can tow someone else in? Last edited by Scattman; 01-21-2012 at 09:45 AM. Reason: spelling

just throwing out the idea the pit just looks like a place to hold that kind of event maybe do it with go fast trucks/ buggies and use your scaler as a rescue vehicle

There will be spots that a winch will be necessary to make progress.

Can we use flashlights to see where were going? I have a feeling I'm gonna be focused on my rig and walk off a 10 foot ledge or something stupid like that. Other than that it all sounds good to me.

Not going to say you can't have a flashlight to see where you are walking but doubt you will need it.

| Re: Nighttime G6/scale comp? Alright, if the moons out I guess it shouldn't be that bad. Just figured I'd check. My only suggestion is glow sticks or something like that on the gates so we can see what were shooting for.

| Re: Nighttime G6/scale comp? True, but it is mine so I'm just thinking out loud. I'm sure it'll be awesome if I can get some lights wired up, finding them shouldn't be to hard. The old heap looks pretty good by the way, how many lights do you have on there?
