| what servos are yall running .....
I fried my solar 722 at New Reds, Sooooo i was wondering what my other Florida peeps are running. My truck is an scx 10 with 1.9 and used moslty as a trail/bash rig, with the occasional TTC mixed in My biggest concern is toughness/reliability. Thanks in advance ... Cory |

I have run Savox and HiTec for all my rigs and the only thing with savox is VOLT'S they truly need a BEC on them, At this time I am running the HiTec 645mg in my kids wraith and 7955 in my chevy 2.2 TTC rig in my Orange jeep I am running a 7955 becuase with them you can get Torque oz./in. (4.8V/6.0V):250 / 333 and not need a BEC to run them and still get the power you need.. some sevo's need 7.4 volts and with that kind of volts you need a BEC to supply the right power for the torque and speed Hitec RCD HS-7955TG V2 High Res. Ultra Torque Titanium Gear Servo Just my 2 cents Last edited by yoda@4x4; 01-28-2013 at 07:54 PM. | |

All 5 of the crawl ugly rigs run the Hitech HS-645MG. Mainly because were cheap asses though Seriously though we have not once had any issues out of them and on my rig and my sons rig i havent even waterproofed them and they just keep going. |

Well.......the 645mg didn't last long. It worked great for a short time, but now it seems really weak to one side. I'm not sure if this is connected but I recently changed over to CMS. When the truck is in the air with the axles hanging it works fine. When it is on the gound with the weight of the truck on it, no beuno . any suggestions? Also, I've been running a XL-5 and TRX reciever and 2.4 transmitter with 5000mAh 2s 40c lipos |

The cms is harder on servos. I run a cs-170 (333oz @ 6v) on my scx. It was a monster till I switched to cms, then it seemed to be, less then, it was. I recently gained a nip 7954 from a trade (403oz@ 7.4). So it's goin in. I run hitec an cc bec in all my rigs .. |

No bec. Honestly i wouldn't even know how to install one with the XL5. I did Check the specs on it though. It's supposed to give 6v and 1 amp from the built in bec.

It's one of the easiest, best, cheapest upgrades you can do for ur rig.... IMO Wire it to the battery side of ur ESC, solder red an black wires... For the easiest option, contact, Chris the battery man. You can get the bec set an one of his connectors from bec to servo... Then it's just two wires for the power you haves to deal with. |

| Re: what servos are yall running ..... I wouldn't believe the specs on the xl5 internal Bec. Next time you come out to new reds I'll show you how to install one it's not hard. without it you're servo won't work at it's full regardless of which hitec you get.

Thank you middle Ugly.... I will probly attempt it prior to that. I am really gonna shoot for NewReds and Daytona. It all depends on work and a stupid promotional process I'm in. I kinda think RC manufacturers are similar to auto manufacturers....numbers can be stretched |

We don't say "promotion" around here because the last guy that got one of those disappeared afterwards.
