| Moving to Orlando
The company I work for has offered me a position in Orlando, off of I-4 and Maitland Blvd. Can you guys give me any input on areas to live? I don't want a far commute. I was told to stay away from the Southwest part of Orlando due to all of the tourism and focus on the northeast part. I need to rent a house with a yard for my boxer. Anybody know a good real estate agent? Any other info you could give about the areas pros and cons would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all of your help... |

I moved out here about a year ago from Reno,Nv. So somewhat similar climate. We live about 1.5hr north of Orlando. I can't give you much info on the city other than be ready for toll roads. It always seams like it cost $100 to drive threw there to me. I love the weather here. From Orlando your close to the gulf and even closer to the Atlantic. Oh, be ready for some rain and no rocks! HAHA It rains A LOT! |

i have no desire to go back to miami, doors locked.....check, gun loaded........check, safety off..........check. ya no thanks. we went to wekiwa springs state park, not far off of 434 i think, area seemed really nice and not far from maitland area. Lakemary has a few nice areas too, again not to far from your new job. and you would not have to drive through orlando to get to work. |

Thanks guys... I will look into those areas that you mentioned. The rain will take a little getting used to. It only rains in the summer here and barely anymore. It will be nice not to have to deal with snow though! Traffic in Denver is horrible, so I am probably trading crap for crap on that. Also is there an 1/8 scale nitro RC track out there? |
