The 588 SAND PIT'S G6 Requirements

- A tow strap is mandatory.
- A winch in not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- A spare tire is not mandatory, but highly recommended
- 5 scale items is mandatory.
- Sand Ramps are not mandatory, but highly recommended


The 588 SAND PIT'S Stage Intel

- Driver check in starts at 9:00 am.
- Driver Meeting at 10:00 am, prior to Stage 1 start
- 300 Trail Markers Split in half

Never stay there but I was told by a few friends to stay fare way from the road if you can....

Anyone going to bring a generator for everyone's use? If not I can bring my 5500 gen. But that means I have to drive my diesel truck. That will make things loud at night as I sleep in the back seat with the AC on.....

I figured that much......the forest is kinda big though LoL.

Lets rephrase the question, how do you get to the sand pits? what road is it off of?

They are just down the road from this campground ...

This is the long way but if you go 40 it is way easy for those coming from Dayton and sandford..

From Weirsdale, drive east on SR 42 for 7.4 miles. At the blinker, turn left onto SE 182nd Avenue Rd. Drive 4.1 miles to FR 73, on the right. FR 73 is an unimproved road, sometimes deep in soft sand in spots. After approx. 3 miles, the campground is on the left at a crossroad.

It can also be accessed from SR 40 by driving south from Mill Dam on Pipeline Road, a signed dirt road, for approximately 6 miles.

I think it is about 3 mile in on your left will be the sand pit...
