Sarasota, Brandenton, Tampa area?
 

Hey guys, I'm new to the area, I've lived on the East coast in Brevard county most of my life but I'm moving to Sarasota to move in with my girl friend and would like to know are there any crawler or scaler groups on this side of the state in these cities?

I know a few guys with scale trucks in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. No official club as of yet. Everyone has different work schedules and other hobbies and interests to juggle with the RC hobby! So, if we get together it is very casual and sometimes last minute! Keep a truck and a battery pack ready at all times, you never know!

Once the weather cools down a bit I'm sure more guys will be willing to venture outdoors to the local parks. I've used my RC trucks at the beach, GT Bray Park in Bradenton, GreenBrook Adventure Park in Lakewood Ranch, Rye Wilderness Preserve, Pinecraft Park and Red Bug Slough Parks in Sarasota.

Is your girlfriend into the whole RC truck thing? Most girls aren't too crazy about the hobby and usually are the reason why guys get out of the hobby!

I come down from Jax to see my parents and end up hanging out with This dude ^ lol .
he knows of some good spots to go wheeling at!

I live in Rye Wilderness and have run with CaptainScale at GT Bray. I also went looking for his bridge in Rye Preserve this week.

Thanks guys, I'll defiantly keep my eyes peeled on the forums and looking forward to some wheeling, in the process of rebuilding my scx10 at the moment, captain scale sent me a friend request but my phone won't accept the request, go figure.

My girlfriend is fine with it as long as I don't waste money and just have one rig or two at the most. She use to race competitive with her B4 buggy at state wide events up in Arizona and Nevada when growing up and had a trophie, she puts me to shame with short course but she doesn't do it anymore, she says it was expensive as heck when she raced RC cars and doesn't want to race anymore or own one again but she still has the knack for it.

I ll be in B-town on Oct 31-Nov3... we should get a group going.. Hit GT Bray and that amish park again! I ll bring the trusty Honcho (all scratched up ) and the new purchase for a whopping $127 RTR Vaterra Kemora.. sucker is bad ass fast ..

Anyone up for some night crawling? I have lights on my trucks and have some fluorescent green trail marking flags that show up good at night under low light conditions.
