|  Formula Offroad Picture Archive
Ok guys, lets get a thread started for pictures of your Formula Offroad builds (aka FOFF). This thread will be a quick/easy reference guide to finding FOFF builds. Post a couple pics of your completed FOFF's in action here with a brief list of the parts used. Please include a link to your build thread as well, so people can find more details on the builds they really like. This thread is not for questions on the builds, no chit chat please. For those that don't know what Formula Offroad is. FOFF vehicles are extreme hill climbers. Usually events are held in giant sand pits. There are multiple courses with gates, just like rock crawling. The gates must be cleared in a specific order, and points are awarded for each gate cleared. Gotta thank Brad and Sparky J for planting the bug.  Put my little tinker toy together with stuff I had layin around. Link to build thread; skid plate's F-OFF Sure is a blast to run. Specs; K2-3S Chassis Axial axles, transmission and wheels Shocks-Big Bore XSpede Mamba Max ESC, Castle BEC Spektrum RX and Radio C4 5700kv Motor JR DS 8611 Servo Proline Sand Paws Front Panther Paddles Rear. Did realize this was a crazy that was just starting, but I happened to see Bender's and it inspired me to build one. Just got it Finished. Haven't got any detailed Pics yet but here you go. Will get some better one later. Chassis is a SCX10 Stock axle servo for now Mamba Max Pro w/3800kv 4pole motor running 3s Panther 2.2 paddles on Axial wheels Tranny has all metal RR gears and Slash 4x4 pinion and Spur Running the XC-1 Body cause the one I wanted was on backorder.  |

As usual a build always gettin' tinkered with...  Build thread BWD Wedge Chassis. Axial front axle; Al. C's & Knuckles, Axial Comp. Universals, overdrive gears. Axial rear axle; underdrive gears, VP Razor mounts. Axial tranny w/slipper, metal gears and RR one piece steel output gear. MIP driveshafts. Traxxas 3S VXL System. Hitec 5645 Servo. Front shocks; unknown, Rear shocks; Integy MSR11's. Proline 2.2 Sand Paws on 2.2 Titus Beadlocks.   |
