| Brandon's Formula Offroad Build
Dang it Bender!! That is all... On a side note I have always had a fascination with scale RC, Sand, and solid axles. First came the PRP Tlt I bought from Freq E Tag way back in 2005? First thing I did was throw some paddles on it because it didn't crawl for crap EDIT: Part 1 Complete!: http://www.axialracing.com/blog_posts/6374 Last edited by Brandon; 10-26-2012 at 10:28 AM. |

Then the Blazer ended up getting broken in at the Florence OR dunes. Had a blast but couldnt keep the brushed motors running smoothly with all the sand.

Wasn't sure what to start off with for this new build. Though about taking the old Gimbal tuber and stretching the wheelbase. Battery fitment would be a major issue with that little cage though. Was going to go the SCX10 route but wanted to try something different. Time to dust off the wreckluse chassis that never got finished Last edited by Brandon; 03-22-2011 at 09:54 PM. |

Tires: Going to give the HPI sand throwers a try up front. These tires look awesome on narrowed wheels. Sticking with the Pro-Line Sand Paws in the back. Once I get this finished I am sure Bender will have me convinced that the Panther paddles are the way to go but I already have these Last edited by Brandon; 03-22-2011 at 10:13 PM. |

Super quick 5 second mock-up. Ignore the backwards paddles, the axles are mounted to the gimbal tuber still I think I am digging the rust look on the cage! Although to follow the FOFF theme it needs to be some bright color with a completely mis-matched body right? |

Make some lexan body panels, and velcro them on. Then, when you do have a big roll over, all the panles will fly off like the real thing. | |

You guys really need to stop making these. I can't afford the one I have let alone having to build one of these. Just not fair.

You suck. I gave away my set of WK axles I guess I'll have to start thinking so I can have yet another build thread that is longer and cooler than yours |

Man, that's going to look sick! I just started to mock one up last night with a Bronco project I quit on. With the tube chassis, it's going to look great!
