Default My FOFF buggy

Hi all, thought I would share my custom buggy chassis FOFF rig with ya see what you think.

It started as this, no planning I got a tube bender and some copper tube and went a little crazy.

Eventually I put in some electronics and got it running.

I ran it like this for a while but it didn't perform like I would have hoped.
Here it is as it was in a you tube vid named "Beer can body" which wasn't very good upon reflection so I won't post a link.

In that video it does break and then I just striped it for parts.

At some point I bought some Wraith axles and built a truck for messing around in the snow.

It was fun, but that also did not last long. So I had a set of 2.2 wheels on Wraith axles and I hate to get rid of anything including that old chassis. I mocked them up to look like this.

The idea looked good, but the chassis needed work.
I started with some support for the front end and started on a bit of the body work, putting alittle more effort the the beer cans.

I reworked the back end and decided on a tray to hold the ESC.

Then I went a bit nuts on the body work, here it looks like a spaceship so I run it with out the front 1/4 pannel they also gets in the way of the battery.

I gave it a squirt of paint and that was a bad idea as I broke a link mount and spent a few days stripping it down for repairs and now it sits naked.

While it was painted though I did get a bit of video of the rig in action, check it out.
