Thanks guys!
I ran it for the first time last night, just in the driveway on 2s, paddles and stock gear ratio. It handles great! I was amazed at how well it was cornering... and that's without the open front diff. I ended up putting a VXL system in it because I didn't feel like getting the soldering iron out at 11pm last night.

It was acting real glitchy, not sure if it's the Spektrum receiver/radio or the VXL esc. The esc is really old and abused, it's the first gen. BL version from my old VXL Rustler... non waterproof.
The lower sway bars are working excellent! I'll get a pic of them tonight.

Things to do:
Spur/pinion gears to get some speed out of it.
Solder plugs on the Mamba Monster esc
Solder plugs on new 3s 850mah 40c lipo
Clean up the threaded rod ends.

everything arrived yesterday and I installed the new spur (50) and pinion (16).
I had to shave the Axial spur mounting tabs off. The Associated spur only has the 3 holes for the hardware.

I ran it last night on 2s with the new gears and the VXL for a couple of driveway runs... much better but not nearly fast enough
I still need to install the overdrive gears in the axles... not sure what that will do to my open front diff idea.

BTW, OTHGbronco, so far... absolutely 0 torque twist on this shafty

Also, I can not roll this rig! I have cornered it as fast as it can currently go on concrete and grass... it just turns

I might have to start racing the on road guys with this Bastard!
I'll try and get video tonight.

So I can flip it
The first few laps I was trying to corner as fast as I could get up to in the small space. I wanted to see what it would take to flip it... once Cooper joined in, I was trying not to flip it!

Here's the 2nd run.
2s, vxl, 16/50, stock axle gears.

It is FUN!

My friend is going to program my CC Mamba Max for BL tonight so that should be installed soon.

I ordered the Axial Spur Gear Cover from RPP last night, along with some spare bushings for the LD Racing BTA.

I'm thinking of getting some lower profile tires for it to play in the dirt with... Maybe Pro-Line Dirt Hawgs

I installed the Mamba Max and CC5700.
It seemed faster than the VXL on 3s but I didn't really get a full run out of it.
It turns out the on/off switch is shorting out. The wires on the Mamba are bare at the solder joint and about to fall off

From searching, it looks like these 2 wires can be soldered together so it's always on...

I will definitely need low profile tires on this thing when not running the Sand Paws. With the Baja Claws on, it was really really unstable at any kind of speed. A slight steering input was really over exaggerated. I think the tires were folding over.

This little rig has been taking some abuse

A few weeks ago, on vacation, I crashed it into an unseen stone drainage ditch and snapped the servo horn and split a Revo rod end.
I fixed all that and took it out for it's first hill climb... which led to a stock chub/knuckle failure. I also found a bent link.

I rebuilt the front axle last night with:
Beef Toobs
Axial overdrive gears
Axial CVD's
New bearings
and aluminum chubs from my scaler

I had wanted to keep the color scheme black and chrome.
I do have both black and chrome chubs but they feel pretty cheaply made... Intigy perhaps? I've collected a lot of parts from other projects I've bought... some good, some not so good.

I'll rebuild the rear axle tonight. I'm not sure if I'll leave the black Axial lockouts on or some beefier STRC chrome lockouts I have.
