It's the Beef Toob

I was up late last night and got this put back together, HOLY RPM's

I just ran it in the living room and this thing is wicked!
I was planning on getting viedo today but it's raining and our GTG was cancled.

I think the VXL I had in it needs rebuilding, it never did seem as fast sa I thought it should be. But now, I think we're up to proper speeds.

I've got the CC Mamba Max and CM36 5,700kv running and overdrive gears in both axles.
I figgure the lighter CC combo should about offset the new Beef Toobs weight... I'm guessing it's around 5lbs!

Thanks man and x2 for the boxers, she's my 3rd

I had some time to run the FOFFing Bastard before our gtg yesterday. This is the first time I've been able to open up the throttle and really see what it can do.
It's pretty fast right now but I'm thinking of upping the gearing a little

I have a black mouth cur/ pit. He wants to kill all my RC trucks. So I got one just for him to kill. And now he does not bother my scaler to much. But when he sees his truck he goes nuts. Lol... oh ya, awesome build

When I got him I thought he was a pit mix, the ad said boxer mix, and then a friend said she'd seen a dog that looked just like him on youtube hunting hogs... So I found out, Black Mouth Cur = Hog Dog
He chases my micro Losi sct in the house... I zip around and then hide under the couches and stuff, it's lot's of fun for both of us

So far so good. I do worry about bending it or breaking off a shock mount tab. It does seem to be a frail chassis. I recently added a STRC aluminum skid and additional steel tubes to cover all the threaded rod and add more support to the shock mounts.

I just picked up a Castle CM36 9000KV!

I didn't expect to win this on ebay, I only bid $36 and won it for $31!

If this works out, I guess I'll save on batteries as it only goes up to 2s lipo.

hmmm, I'm not sure which motor to use.
According to scriptasylum.com the 9000 on 2s is slightly faster than the 5700 on 3s.

I'll have to try it out... I would save a few bucks buying 2s lipo's instead of 3s lipo's though.

But the 5700 should run cooler. Even still, TBH, I think the 5700 on 2S would probably be more than insane. I know that the 5700 on 2S in my SC10 is pretty much a rocket and it weighs a lot more than your bastard.

I took it to the beach for the first time today... HOLY SHITBALLS ON FIRE!!!

This thing is sooo much fun in the sand! It hooks up and rooster tails sand 5 feet long, jumps great and can actually steer really well too. It's very responsive and the light weight tears across the uneven sand. I thought I got cell phone video of it jumping but I guess I didn't hit record when I thought I did... next weekend.

Last night I ordered 3 more of the Hyperion 45C 900mah 3s lipos. I only get about 10mins run time out of them... but it's 10mins with the hammer down, balls to the wall flying like a bat out of hell with it's tail on fire!

Took it out again today... and while I was out, I missed the mail man with my 3 new lipos.
The sand was a little wet and packed... it made for some good traction.
I think it's handling the beach pretty good, it's a lot of fun to bash in the sand. I'm really glad I ordered the extra lipos for my upcoming Florida vacation though... they don't last nearly long enough.

I seem to have a short in my Mamba Max... it kept cutting out in the video. The servo was working but I kept loosing throttle.

yup, it's the old cm36 5700kv. I haven't tried the 9000kv yet.
I really like this rig, it's a blast!
