yup, 2s max.
According to scriptasylum.com's Theoretical Max Speed, the 9000kv on 2s is slightly faster then the 5700kv. But I'm assuming that the 5700 has more torque, making it funner on the beach

I'm currently looking for some light cheap wheels for my rig, did those Mudrock wheels hold up to the abuse?

so far so good
This week will really put them to the test. I just arrived in Florida for the week... I plan on racing around the beach all week!
If you do get them, you may want to get the wideners too because the offset is a little deep.

I'm off to RC Boca for a new transmission and slipper clutch. I stripped out the center drive gear in the trans. I knew I would if I kept jumping it but it was to much fun

I thought I packed a set of gears and a slipper that I was going to install when I got here but the greasy ziplock baggy had differential gears and axles in it

RC Boca didn't have just the gear set but they did have the whole transmission in stock... good enough to get the F'n Bastard back on the beach.

The rig handles like an F1 car on the packed sand... cornering is awesome.
The shocks are way to stiff for the really choppy sand.... it bounces over the top at high speed. I can control it but it's far from ideal. Still fun, just bordering on out of control.

I agree, no plastic gears in my Transmissions (Not in my Crawlers or my current Foff build). Less expensive then a whole Transsmission. RRP #1541 $12.99 @ RPPHobby.com

Heck, I would have sent you a stocker to get it going. I owe a Pay it forward

I agree.
I was just waiting for the failure... shame I left that stuff at home.
I'm outside the RC Boca warehouse now. The ups guy just left so I should be getting a call any minute.

Another quick question if you don't mind, I've read a lot of people have had issues mounting the Proline sand paws, did they mount ok on those Mudrocks?

They mounted up with no problems. The wheels are really wide so the Sand Paws fit perfect on them

I just got done touring a small university with my niece and sister... they had several piles of dirt and sand out back! I totally wanted to bust out the F'n Bastard!
I'm on my way to the hotel now and then the beach

Woo! Go spray sand at some beach bathing skanks so they have to get in the water to wash it off. Post videos.
