SKALA V3 frame for FOFF

Ok so I did mention that I was going to slowly build a FOFF..

well i got thinking.. i dont have many tools like you guys for taking square tubing, bending and making a frame....

sooooooo

what if i used the SKALA V3 frame from here..

now i kinda want to stretch it a bit to be a scaler like my fullsize truck too...

so to that here is my question... and you will teach me my first frame/shock/axle placement....

my 1978 fullsize is 132" from center hub to center hub...

so 13.2" WB for a 1:10th....

now that frame.. the top shock hoops... are they for the shocks to go straight down, angled???

axle centered in the hump or axles forward, etc???

i know you do what you want.. that is the fun of it.. so im just trying to figure out how to make this fit say a clodbuster lid as that best represents my chevy...

can someone measure the opening on a clodbuster lid from center well to center well???

ok guys time to take my 6yr old to hockey..... so ill check back on my phone!

if this is figured out b4 i get back.. i will have a cardboard template and maybe even metal ones by tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess the first thing to do is get the body and then everything will fall into place. If your set on the Clod buster body, it is the key factor you must have to begin your build.

FOFF is usually a Jeep... tuber.. or the sort..

would a redneck like I get away with a camaro as a FOFF??

i know a car.. hah.. but still i love it..

i found a ZL1 yellow camaro new body style for $30 or $40 i forget... i could use... and make the WB stick out fwd/bkw for the FOFF...

just trying to figure if a car is just sooo "dude u didnt do that did u???"

Run what ever you like this is not the scale section, so as long as its low and stupid fast your Fing OFF.

Do what you want, it's your $$$ and you rig. There is no wrong way.

yeah i gotcha...
im lookin at this frame for a semi template.. got it printed out.. and ready to go to medal.. i got stuff on ebay to get lipo charger and batteries for my ax10 first..

then im going to do the frame, get axles then all thread links... i got my mind for my body... it is gonna be TOTALLY different...

yall will see but will take a few months...

i ended up with a RTR SCX-10 (tcs xtrail chassis)..

didnt put my latest pic there though.. working out my shocks now.. got the axial lift kit and flipped it to lower it. it now has straight links (bent went to ax10) and they are parallel to the ground...

and this is with the messed up suspension before lowering it...
