Question I want to build a FOFF ( Ax-10 )

Hi Guy's .
I'm new here , so bear with me...
Got a Axial AX-10 Kit last year ,Build it , played about with it for a while. Then put it away and forgot about it..
Well winter is here again ( so no Flying R/C gliders for a few months )

But after seeing a few FOFF videos on Youtube , I dug the AX-10 out and want to change it into a FOFF...

My AX-10 is bog standard apart from the 540 motor I fitted, weighted front wheels... No up-grades fitted..

So What do I need, apart from tyres..

Do I need a Brushless motor / ESC , if so do I have to up-grade the drive train ( Drive Shafts / Diff / Greabox )

I've got some Li-Po's ,so I'm all right for them..
Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 20C Lipo Pack ..
ZIPPY Flightmax 1500mAh 3S1P 20C ..

I know speed costs money ( I own a hpi Baja )

But is there away to do it on the cheap.... Hobbyking ??

Not as if I'll be competing with anyone , I've never seen or heard of another Rock Crawler (same with the Baja) in this part of Ireland . .

Welcome to RCC Sean

You pretty much answered all your own questions!
Yes, the whole drivetrain will need upgrading.
Trans: 32 pitch Robinson Racing gears and outdrive
Drive Shafts: MIP
Axial Axles: HD gears (might as well get the overdrive gear set), Gunnar Beef Toobs for added strength.
Motor: really any high kv brushless motor and esc that can run at least 3s lipo batteries
Your expression while driving it:

Thanks for the reply .

Now, being on the far side of the world ,
it's not as if I can go to my local ( 50 mile round trip)hobby store
and ask / buy what I need .. More then likely they have never heard of rockcrawling ,never mind FOFF . . It's mainly R/C yatchs and Gliders/Planes/Heli's over here.... Any body that does have a R/C Car / Truck / Buggy / Truggy has bought them in the UK and then they buy there spares from the USA/UK as you guys have a bigger market ..

So a few links to what I need to buy would be great ...

Thanks again.
Sean
