Arrow DRV KRAWLER FOFF'en Formula Offroad " HORNY TOAD "

Well I am finally going to start this thread. After finally accumulating enough parts to show some kind of a direction. This first attempt is purely purpose built. Most everyone here has built there FOFF's with old or extra parts ( I did not have a cash of parts Da%n it LOL ! ). I was coaxed by my Three year old son. He really is more into the high speed (FOFF) than the Crawler video's seen here on RCC. And I admit I have wanted to do a Scaler anyways .

A little side note here, I want to thank everyone here at RCC that I have bought parts from. You Guy's ROCK ! Also just for this site in general for feeding my R/C Addiction !

Here is the list so far :

Wheel base is at 13 1/2 "

SCX10 chassis
Axial axles
STRC Aluminum Chub's and Knuckles
3 Racing Aluminum Axial Transmission w/ Robinson Racing gears through out
BWD front and rear 4-link plates

MIP Axial Wraith Driveshafts #11116 (Perfect fit for this build)
Pro-Line Sand Paws
Crawler Innovations Servo Guard

Beef Toobs by Casey and Gunnar ( I already have these waiting for more parts before installing. Listed below. )
CNC aluminum servo horn
Wheels (built by Crawling Calvin specifically for Pro-Line Sand Paws)
Vanquish SLW Hubs (.725)
Castle Creations BEC
Axial #ax30401 (2) Heavy Duty O/D Beveled gears
Axial Spur gear cover Ax80078 Donated by Drail

Futaba Receiver R2106GF
3s Lipo 2700Mah 45c burst

And of course all of the Aluminum parts, that will replace all of the BROKEN plastic ones from the first run .

Lets here your thoughts you FOFFERS !

You made it happen the way I envisioned it. I really appreciate your time and effort. Just remember, I have more of the link material if you want it.

LOL ! Actually that is a Lizard my wife uses to hold house plants to stakes. It just so happened my Son stole it. I just happen to see it in his room when I was taking the pictures. Worked perfect to hold the body up.

I have to admit, you got me thinking now ! Reptile, Hhhhmmmmm !

Received the MIP #11116 Driveshafts made for the Wraith. They fit like a glove on this 13 1/2" wheel base. I am stoked they released these just as I was getting this point in the build. I am a HUGE MIP fan (Been using them for years). I was getting a little concerned that I would be facing a build with out MIP watching my back.

Those shafts look good nice long looking yokes, are you about maxed out on extension with all those splines showing? If you don't mind me asking how long are you running those at?

Your build looks real clean DRV....FOFF is in my blood (speed) the wraith may end up being just that

Thank you, your body is what actually inspired this build. Well my three year old inspired the build. It was your bronco body that got my juices flowing.

Can you post a link for the jack stands?
They look like something to ask my wife for a Christmass present.

Thanks,

Well Harry, I actually bought these off of a member here. I have two sets I display and store my rigs on. To my knowledge they are no longer available through Northern Tool. Keep a Eye out , they do show up every so often.

A couple of updates today. Received the servo and the Proline Sand Paws. they are new in the package But, they are the original design #1052-00.
One of the Techs at Proline said he preferred the original compound. He stated it was "In his opinion" a much more durable and stable compound than the newer version #1052-02. He also said they did not come with foams and will not need any either.
