Thanks. Sometimes frustration gets the better of me. If I was at home I would be on it straight away, but limited parts here just means play with something else. In the mood now to check everything over.

Well I had my little stampede to play with, now that's doing "clicky clicketty" on the transmission. Think I'll drive it til it breaks

Over the years I've learned that if you see or hear something out of place or sorts, then check it out so it doesn't cost alot more $$$.$$ in the long run.
Simple routine maintenance will save you, anyone,.money in the long haul.

Well the stampede fixed itself somehow and the foff decided to work with my nephews controller' so some video of both tomorrow as I head home tonight. The foff wrecked the rear universal again and destroyed it. Junfac shafts at home will be fitted when I can do some work on the output shaft to get the ends down to 5mm.

All good fun, and need to fine tune the suspension soon hopefully.

Oh maybe almost 10 minutes. I fixed the shafts by replacing the missing pin with a 3mm bolt and nyloc nut. That went through another pin which the 'ears of the shafts just twisted off. Pics and video sometime. I think maybe running o/d front u/d rear is too much as this truck is so powerful even on sand it's doing harm, so will swap the rear to overdrive sometime. The hard suspension makes its bounce and spin out, so needs sorting. I can't even give a top speed as it can't stay straight.

The other video. Note: at no time was this flat out, it would spin or flip if any attempt was mode to go over half power.

I'm just back home and busy the weekend. I will sort the suspension out, but am now wondering if the Junfac shafts will be tough enough, but will give them a try. They are only meant for an scx10 so will find out how good they are.

Steep stuff will come sometime, but just want to get it sorted and reliable first.

Gotcha, you might have to get MIP's. I would still try what you have.

well it seems MIP don't make center drive shafts for e maxx.. there are traxxas ones,# TRA4951R, but can't find them on sale in the UK. just will have to try the junfac's and see what breaks next lol.

I drilled my MIP out to fit on a Summit transmission output shaft. It look real good, the only this is you'll have to run 2 set screws thru it to clamp on the shaft. I'll post pic's and drill bit size if you want. LMK.

Well, eventually I had time to do a little more. Made up a center drive using the emaxx shaft with a bit of machining and also spur mount. The machining is not too good as i can only use an old lathe at work for the moment.

The Junfac shafts fit fine and the pins that come with the Axial gears fit straight in.

Now of course it starts raining again ffs

LOL. look at the start date of this thread... almost a year

More to come soon, but I have been busy working on a local race track and had very little time.

The steering servo was too weak, and I also don't think the servo saver was any good and causing the spins, so there is a Savok 1256TG with alloy arm on now and hope to run it soon.

Well went off to the local river bank to play around and check out the new shaft I made. After 5 minutes and 1 battery it stripped a rear wheel hex. I guess aluminium wheels are needed

This thing is stupid powerful on 4s. I have a couple of 3s I might try.
