scx10 or wraith for foff

hey i was wondering which kit is better for sand and snow. the axial wraith kit or axial scx10 dingo kit? i want to get into foff and maybe some crawling. so i was wondering before i got any truck. and which one needs which parts?

Hmmmm They would both need the same upgrades to do FOFF I do think the wraith may be a better platform to start with. It is longer and wider leading to better stability.

That would really depend on your level of creativity and skills. You will soon find that anything is possible with some work and imagination.

Both kits will do what your looking for. Just depends on how you upgrade and where you want it to be. I started one direction with my wraith and weeks later changed my mind.

thanks guys. i think im gonna buy a wraith. i am going to put a traxxas vxl system, an upgrade the steering,etc... Hopefully i'm going to get the kit soon!!!

The Wraith is a good platform for FOFF, Its wide....but you will have ALOT of upgrades to make it handle the speed and power of a brushless system. Just don't get overwhelmed with upgrades, replace it as you break it and have a blast doing it

thanks. and i am most probably gtting the kit. so i wont need that many upgrades right away. i would replace the steering and most probably the tires. and if i have the money i will replace the c hubs and diff gears to hardened steel.

+1 to that, get the kit and some 2.8 paddles, i will prefer the vapor pro and Vektor 4000kv motor from savege XS

i think the wraith is your best bet!
i had the scx10 not long ago.... there's nothin wrong with it but it is shorter and less track then the Wraith.
as mentioned above, you will need to do the same upgraing to either-or rig to become FOFF.

im in the middle of a build right now using the Wraith and ive upgraded heavily already and this is killin' my bank account! lol
over-drive the diffs, 32p spur/pinion, upgrade the chubs, knuckles and steering links and MIP driveaxles are a must!
not sure if you plan on a RTR or KIT version, but the kit version has the CVD's and lower alloy links that are also a need to get!

just a few off the top of my head but it takes $$$ to go FOFF
