***"JACKAL"***, The ulitmate FoFF build. YA'LL READY FOR THIS. Insert music here. I know I've been talking about a new, revised, Foff build for quit awhile. Well, here is the start. As the pic's will indicate, I'm going to build the "Jackal" starting with an Axial SCX10 chassis as the base. I'll be incorporating the Traxxas Summit 2 speed transmission and a RC4WD transfer case, just to start. Wraith aluminum axle housing from RC4WD will be added as soon as they become avalible. Centered rear and left side offset front are what I'll be ordering. I will also be brazing up a full and complete cage system from 3/16" steel brake line. Here are some pic's of the parts I have so far. http://a3.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...19d49dc9/l.jpg http://a4.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...1f4ff489/l.jpg http://a1.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...09876142/l.jpg http://a1.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...279b6e34/l.jpg http://a3.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...2cc3811e/l.jpg http://a2.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...41e8cbca/l.jpg Here is the transfer case. Next is the Transmission. http://a4.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...a2e72fd4/l.jpg http://a3.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...d052b61c/l.jpg http://a4.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/i...1a5589c9/l.jpg |
Re: ***"JACKAL"***, The ulitmate FoFF build. A good start "thumbsup" won't the transmission be a bit bulky? |
Re: ***"JACKAL"***, The ulitmate FoFF build. Looks like you'll have to wait and.see.;-) |

Re: ***"JACKAL"***, The ulitmate FoFF build. Come on... Where is the pictures/video? We have given you one day to build it....:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: |
Re: ***"JACKAL"***, The ulitmate FoFF build. In due time, I'm working on the transfer case mount and skid. |
Re: ***"JACKAL"***, The ulitmate FoFF build. transfer case and 2 speed box! this is going to be heavy i think. so therefore slow and slower speed box. :ror: |
Re: ***"JACKAL"***, The ulitmate FoFF build. I guess that all depends on the power plant and gearing. I have the weight of the transfer case, 3.5oz. The summit transmission and motor is a whopping 18.750 oz, thats around 1.5 lbs so far. I think your right about it being heavy.:lmao: Oh well, I'm gunna keep building it to my spec's and see where it ends up. |
Re: ***"JACKAL"***, The ulitmate FoFF build. It will end up at my house....lol |
