That's cool looking truck. "thumbsup" Do you have any photos with the body off, or a build thread somewhere?

As a matter of fact, I dont have any body off photos. It was basically AX10 chassis with those extended sideplates.

I'll design a new chassis to foff with Nordic Crawler Designs. It's still on the drawing table though. "thumbsup"

Truck looks good, I also run the Castle 5700kv; but with a MMP in my FOFF. It's A great power plant for these rigs. Dig the vid as well"thumbsup"

I've done something to the rig. Slowly but steady. Even the driver is waiting for me to finish. We have first comp at February, so I better hurry up... :flipoff:

Wow, looks like the COG will be on the high side, unless you plan on lowering the chassis.

I'm planning to drop it as much as I can, without messing good clearance that this chassis offers. It'll drop down from the pics. Tomorrow I'll try to make it a roller. "thumbsup"

Yes it's a sudu! "thumbsup" I'll try with this first, I'll be having some test results later, when we have dry sand. So hold your horses :flipoff:

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0537.JPG
Roller status!

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0538.JPG
These are just test tires. I will make proper paddles by the start of our season in the end of March.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0539.JPG
Plenty of room for electrical stuff as it needs to be.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0540.JPG
We still have the Trail Ranger body, with "slight" modifications to fit.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0541.JPG
Now the tire isn't grabbing on the body while it flexes.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0542.JPG
Still way too much articulation. I'll have to limit it more.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0543.JPG
RTR weight is still around 2kg, but my plan is to drop it to 1,9kg.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0544.JPG
The steering got most of the improvements. Old steering was the original from AX10 axles, but now we have XR10 shafts, hubs and knuckles. "thumbsup"

I'll continue this at some point. There's still lots to do before it will be on the hills.

Re: Axial AX10 a.k.a Toxoplasma Condii

Sorry guys, I've been quite lazy to build up this thingy, but now I have to, because we are comping in the winter classic foff comp next saturday! "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0687.JPG
This is what I'm strating with.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0688.JPG
The AX10 front axle was about to change to Wraith front axle due the slop of the crappy beef tubes, that I got in the AX10's.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0689.JPG
Front axle is removed and I made room for the wraith one.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0690.JPG
The Wraith front axle was stealed from my old TTC truck, and because of that, some repairs had to be done. And I wanted to change the front gear ratio.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0692.JPG
This was the old AX10 axle with the XR steering mod.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0693.JPG
Lower front links were good with this axle too, but I had to do a longer uppers for it.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0694.JPG
Steering seems to be amazing even with these giant tires!

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0695.JPG
It almost steers that much when in drive. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0696.JPG
With these wheels and tires the front end is too wide. It's almost 320mm wide. I have to make CF wheels for it, and then I can adjust the wideness with the VP hubs. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0698.JPG
Aluminium hubs and knuckles will probably hold up for many comps.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0699.JPG
The diff seemed to be in excellent condition keeping mind that, I've been mudding and doing TTC with it. It seems to be extremely tight from all the junk! 8)

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0700.JPG
Titanium steering link searching it's place.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0701.JPG
I had to put the body on there once in a while too.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0702.JPG
I'll be driving the snow comp with these badass tires from V Productions. I'll be doing my own tires when we get some sand under the snow. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0703.JPG
This is what the scale thought without the driver and his seat.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0704.JPG
I will try with the 1000mAh 3S first, that how it'll be moving.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0705.JPG
With the 2.2 Panthers it does look ridiculous! :flipoff:

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0706.JPG
It might well be, that those tires will never get a chance under this rig again. They are simply way too small.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0707.JPG
I've done waterproofing to the electrics and fount their place on the rig. God it's stuffed...

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0708.JPG
Driver Jack Slayer and his seat are in place! "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0709.JPG
Well positioned!

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0710.JPG
This is how it looks before the comp on saturday.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0711.JPG
Here we have my old Modified class wraith and the new one.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0712.JPG
I got the steering links done quite nicely in the front side of the axle.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0713.JPG
Here is the current RTR weight.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0714.JPG
Here we have my 2.2 Pro rig compared to the foff rig. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0715.JPG
I had to do a little test run. Allthough we had lots of snow outside. It really gives some boost already with the 1000mAh battery. Some torque twist was notified, but I was able to control that a little, with moving some of the links.

http://paron.pp.fi/Rc%20Kuvia/Samu/0...4/IMG_0716.JPG
Quite much of the snow still gets indoors.

Will be fun to see how this rig manages to do in the winter comp. Last year I was second, this time I really would like to win. I'll keep you guys posted! "thumbsup"

First comp with the new setup behind. Lots of good things, but I would say, that the list of improvements will still be longer at this point. One thing though what I have to bear in mind is that this comp was on the snow. You cannot hardly even begin to compare sand and snow, so I have to take a better look on the first sand competition, which will be on late March. What I will do is get it little longer, probably to 13" wb, and get myself a better tires. Most likely Panther paddles on a 2,8" CF wheel. I'll update this, when I get something done. In the mean time, here are my performances from saturday: "thumbsup"
