Default My FO-XX VE

Fresh off the FedEx truck and into my shop.

After oogling it for an hour while charging up some batteries and taking it for its first run I was highly impressed with the chain drive making it damn near silent under throttle, blown away by the in demand wheelies even in thick grass, super responsive throttle, and stability at high speed. Yes I Ricky Bobby'd it a few times on the pavement but the ear to ear grin never faded. I've got a different set of tires and parts coming for it in the meantime I removed the mixmatched combo of phillips and allen head black oxide hardware with all team KNK stainless. More to come

A lot of awesome info in that thread. I know these axles are pretty much bulletproof which was the main deal sealer for me vs a yeti. The only thing I could see going wrong would be the steering system going snafu after a few bad landings on rocky hillclimbs. Is there anything out there to fortify the existing or are they going to surprise us with upgrades. I also noticed it's 4ws capable but mounting the rear link would take some geometry and kind of pointless on an foff rig

Supershafty makes an axle mounted servo mount . All problems with steering get solved there

You can use TLT or even axial servo mounts!

I came up with a semi creative cms setup for it using allthread and an Rc4wd link to make bta steering. I've only bench tested it as of right now but it looked promising. I'm now running a savox 1256tg only issue I see is bump steer due to using the stock servo location and the drag link hitting the massive lower link

The steering system was actually pretty good. I thought it was going to be bad also. Huge jumps and hard impacts I think are the reason for my battery boxes breaking. That was the only thing I had an issue with so far.

Lol I just noticed that you have the 4s roof rash as well. Im thinking a longer and lower wheelie bar is in order.

Yep punched it rode a killer wheelie a few times that always ended up on its lid and a couple high speed backflips

I was concerned myself and there is indeed bump steer but after adjusting the shocks it's minimal now

good man. these mad force trucks keep getting less and less shock length anyway. what are they now? 80mm? because they were over 120 on the original trucks, and not laid own at all.

Im going to go out tomorrow and give my rig a beatin. Need to find if there are any more weak spots. Let me know how your battery holders hold up. I broke both of mine and need to fix them. Trying to find an upgrade if you can think of any please let me know. Thanks

I'm taking mine out as well to beat the snot out of it to test the steering and the skid I made to hopefully protect the chain drive and bottom gear case
