2.2 vs 2.8 Sandpaw on 3400kv motor

I plan to run 3s 3400 to 3800 kv 4 poles motor on wraith drive line, would i be better using 2.2 or 2.8 sand paw tyre?

i like the 2.2 because i can use vp hub on ci 6 bolts wheel for different offset and metal hex, but worry that with the smaller 2.2, i won't have enough speed on very soft sand....

what do you guys think?

2.8 Sand Paw, definitely!

2.2 paws are too small. Car is always stuck somewhere ;-)

I'm running the 2.8's because to me the 2.2's look too small like Hadesbear said. I was using 12mm hex proline wheels and kept stripping out the wheels. Then I found the Proline 2755-03 2.8" wheel with a 17mm hex and mounted them up with some adapters. Also the wheels are beefier around the hex area. Haven't stripped one yet on MMP and 5700kv.

Adapters I used the widest ones, they have some different widths.

What are the good 17mm hex adaptor around, I like the MIP one and Aka one because they are made with 7075 alloy, most other are 6061.

Not really sure about any of the others but I haven't had any problems from the proline's I have.

your proline is good, it is 7075. But they are sold in pair and a bit expensive to get a set of 4. I have order a set of MIP and also a set of teckno. Interesting to see if the teckno will last as they are plastic....

The proline wheels with the 17mm hex I'm using are plastic and they seem to be holding up.
