After all trim and cut to size this is what i'm going for...

there is a different in size ......

Now that both side exact time for to drill hole in the homemade extenders...

now I have to fit the sleeve inside the extender so it's time to drill.

as you can see the the hole has to be bigger...

here you can see sleeves inside the extenders..
Here's is the finish product, very happy with the results

now i to reduce them from 14mm hex to 12mm hex...stay tune..

you can see how much has to removed to reduce to 12mm hex...

here' the size different...

here both are 12mm hex

here you can tell the size this is the last for the extenders.on to the next stage...links are next...

here the length there are both at 265mm wide, front and rear..

I went from this .....
to this finish this part now for links..

hope you like it.All of this was done with a file no belt sander here
stay tune for more......

well here's how i attach the Wraith skid plate to the SCX10 chassis rails...
pretty simple.

here's the carnage..removal...
once that was done ha a problem with the motor interfering with the chassis rail.Fix that fast..

What kind of body work will you do you think?

Apart from maybe panelling out the cage, what will you do for the rear, just leave it open?

not sure i plan on covering it up somehow to prevent the sand from flying around inside some how. i have some clear lexan sheets about 3 or 4mm thick i may use and i do have a few bodies hanging around.I have a 1/12 scale vw bug I bought in 2011 off Ebay I'm thinking of using.
I'm Just going with the flow.Building this thing it's like trail and error trying different parts to what works.screw unscrew screw unscrew.some times these mod are pain in the ass.....

so i hope this works.I keep my self signed in so may i won't lose anything..
OK let see Ya gas tank from the yeti using the scx10 chassis rails with wraith skid plate and ax10 skid plate.....tube chassis...
here are the parts I'll be using..so when taking apart the tubing to geet at the gas tank i notice something these look like shock hoops ans since i own a yeti and bought to of these i thought i try this..not sure if it's been done i may be the first hope this works

gas tank and straps now i have a place for my electronics..

here you can see what how i want to hoops will work.

compare to the SCX10 chassis braces needs to be cut to 70mm

here's were i ran into a problem would not close the gap...

Well here I had to bend the shock hoops mounts in a S turn to make it fit in the chassis rails.Wasn't sure if it could be done but i tried and i please with the result.i have an old hair blower that i use for shrink tube it releases a lot of heat hot enough to bent but not hot enough to melt.just hope they last.beside it wasn't like a 90* bent just a slit S curve..
here how it came about...

here is the first bend just took my time .get it hot and bend hold the bend and try to cool it down the same time while holding that bend...
here you get the idea that's not moving...
Here's the S curve.

I needed this for spacers along side rails but didn't pan out so i had lots axial spacers i them instead..

over did with the dremmel...

here's the plan seem like it was meant to be there.....I'll make it fit..

here couple small 3mm x 8mm.

so here normal shape...

here's is end result perrrrrfict.

more to come think i'm going to make my own links it will be a first .Stay tune.

Well did my front upper and lower links last night.I had to calulate how long i wanted my wheel base once that was accomplish i started cutting.I wanted to make sure when i made them that they were the size that i wanted.I wanted to do it once and i like the result first timer doing links.
I made the links longer in front and to make them shorter in the rear...
here are the parts i'll be using...
Traxxas rod ends #5525
I Used electric tape just to tighten it up inside the brake tube..
here is just a comparison of the original links to new ones.

Here you see the different stages of the links being made.

finish product.
couple posers.....
here you can see how foward the front diff will be..
till next time....

some of these parts will try to incorporate in the Foff...

Front AR60

Yeti Transmission and the rear cage that's the plan.I need a place to put my electronics so i figure the box would be a good addition to the CBMS

Also going to see if this roll cage will be in the build.looking for something different and extra long Axial drive shafts to get the lenght i want between 13" to 14"

front end in first on the agenda.......stay tune...

What mad you go with the wraith gearbox mount? I'm in the process of building my own but just using the scx10 mount?
