Default Heckler's Wrash

A bit over a year ago, wanting to get back into RC I picked up a Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ultimate, since there are no short course tracks nearby where I live it got boring pretty quickly just doing speed runs in front of the house which prompted me to pick up a Wraith since I could have fun with that just about anywhere, 6 RC's later (Wraith, G2, Sporty, MOA, MRC, and Slash) I was looking at the FOFF stuff and thought why not do something with this Slash 4x4.

Behold the Wrash...

Upgraded to the Mamba Monster 2200kv system, 4S and 5S lipos, Pro-Line 2.8 17mm hex F11 wheels and Pro-Line 2.8" Sand Paw's, Tekno RC shafts, etc. etc.

After the upgrades...

Had enough parts around to make an almost complete Wraith chassis (I didn't take anything from my Wraith), so I made a few modifications and got it mounted up, looks a lot more "FOFF" then the Beetle body I first put on it.

I just need to get some new Wraith panels to paint to my liking and pick up a Wraith Spawn interior so I can cover up the open cockpit and get some drivers in there.

Had to make it easy to work on and make battery changes, rear is hinged and front attached with 2 Gunner mounts, super easy and no body pins to deal with.

No where near the custom builds I see on here but this thing hauls arse!

I'll have some video up shortly.

The Hyper 10 is ready to go.
The Slash lcg will have the 2200kv in it for the time being. I have a 2650kv that might be better with 4s.

Nice... Im thinking maybe we meet at the beach first then after we break all our FOFF rigs we hit the crawl spot? Or will it still be too wet/foggy there that early in the day?

Al did you get your servo fixed?

I am good for the beach only tomorrow.
Both crawlers need some TLC.

I thought I had all the parts for the Hyper 10 but there is a special barrel nut for the 17mm hex conversion that is lost at sea. While a new 17mm hex conversion is on the way.......I got my old Slash working for tomorrow.
5.5t on 4s blistering, probably end up temp'ing on me..we'll see.

What time at Sloat?

That works for me, my only crawler working right now is my Pro Rig, got the servo for my wraith back from Hitec so that needs to be done and I have to get my Sporty fixed up with the new CCC rear axle and front setup.

Should we meet at Sloat at 10:00 and head over to Ft. Funston from there?

It'll be easier to meet at Fort Function upper lot.
After Lake Merced turn left at Skyline, go past the lower road side parking to the next right.
It's a huge paved parking lot.
I'll be there at 10.

HobbyKing screwed the pooch on my battery order so I was searching for some more batts and found these. Good specs and price.
We'll see how they do.

Those are good deals, a 4S 5000 50C hard case for $50 is hard to beat.

Did you get them already? You going to be able to run tomorrow?

Thanks but because my Batts are delayed I'm lagging on the build.
A little bit of soldering and mounting the cage is all that's left.
