Well this here is the picture thread so you wont get much help here but go to the Coming soon...... GMADE GOM GR1 ROCK BUGGY thread its kind of turned into the defacto Gom thread, from page 10 or so on theres a lot of discussion on building tips, I suggest you read as much as you can and post any questions there or start your own build thread in the Gmade section. You'll also find some Gom build threads with some helpful info.

I pretty much finished it. It wasn’t too bad. The instructions are pretty good. I did install the aluminum shift fork, rear shock brace, slipper clutch and knuckle bushings. I was going to do a build thread but I never want to stop and take pictures or I forget. I’m going to put the electronics in today and then I’ll post some pics

Got it running last night. Need a bigger receiver box though. Can’t wait to put the panels on. I was surprised how quick it is with just a 35t rc4wd motor.

This panoramic really made the truck come out jagged, taken at Proline By The Fire last weekend

And one normal shot which came out much better for the truck

I focused on the truck and it washed out the sunset

I met 1 other Gom owner there Ian, he has a shapeways store called Roberts RC and I see he's got an inner front fender set for the Gom

my beast so far
Going to be dropping the 3800kv motor in soon and Junfac all metal gears
I’d like to get the f/r drive shafts from mip does anybody have any idea what would a a good fit Iv looked at the trx4 .
This is my first proper vanquish axles build apart from
The rock Rey rear axle but that was designed to fit this however was not ,....but I still found it very enjoyable and relatively straightforward ,.

Although I think I made a slight oversight in selecting the correct axle as the Goms setup requires the Panhard and there is no space I made this best of a shitty situation lol

Maybe you can fab up a bracket for the panhard/axle mount which could fasten to the link mount points, just a thought.
