Default R1 how tough are they

Im thinking of using one of these for a 2.2 sportsman rig so im wondering how tough are the axcils and trans can they handle a 35t on 3s or more

Shane's GMade R1 Rock Buggy Build

got down to post 66. I put in a super fast outrunner on 3S. Held up fine. I did have to upgrade the driveshafts to maxx driveshafts. There are a couple videos in the thread too.

Just make sure you can get replacement parts if you do break something. I think rpphobby.com carries them.

dude i just baught a 2221-12 off ebay the other day got it for 40 bucks shipped, that thing rips me likey likey, i would have to order any parts i need closest hobby shop is 40 miles away but iv bin wanting one since they came out i messed up when ofna came out with the hyper10sc that truck was the biggest peice of crap i ever baught lol traded it for a tlt i didnt want another miss hap like that so figured i would hold off a while but i think its bin long enugh
