He had an R2 in it, but I now run a flipped axial Trans with the same interior setup. You just need to drill new mounting holes for the Trans of your choice.
The spur comes up just behind the driver.

Just getting to the end of my own koh build. Thought I'd do a quick search to see what I could find and sure enough, found this forum.

I will try to get a thread started on my truck and will post a link.

My tires are what inspired my build. I picked up the rc4wd jimmy thompson Bajas and after seeing pics of the koh in a magazine, I was hooked on a new build. Mine looks different than the other two in this thread. Too bad we didn't live closer to each other, we'd get such awesome photos!
