Thanks Eric! and I sure will. Ive already broken a portal axle dog bone and split a drive cup in 2. I saw where I could run TLT cvd's that were modified out the ass. May get fish to help me with a set of those

I have MIP rustler cvd's. But I'm going to rear steer, So I'm switching to TLT cvd's front and rear. If you look in Szczerba's JK thread you will find all the links for the parts to build th TLT cvd's from RCP.

If you want Colby, I will make you deal on MIP's if you want ?

Very cool rig.
I have had zero issues so far with the g-made axles. Hope your luck changes!

yep, it's about $42 per axle to do the tlt cvd's from RCP. Parts, how to, pictures in my JK build in the G-Made section.

You have MIP's for the front? May have to work something out with you on that if I can't get fishy to help me. And I've read Szczerba's thread through and through, so thanks

Speaking of the devil. LOVE your jk! Hopefully will be seeing you at ECC again? I had the red aluminum bodied chevy in Alabama

Well, today I was out bashing the wheels off of my rig (seriously) when I did a pretty sweet back flip mctwist-thing and my left rear wheel went flying off, still attached to the axle shaft pulled it apart and noticed all the portal axle bearings were toasted. Luckily I had some stock XR10 bearings... like that's going to last. So we will see what I can come up with. Thanks for all the info Szczerba!

Should be at ECC this year. I remember ya.

Oh yea, forgot to mention. The axles do blow throw the small portal shaft bearings.

Sweet! I will definetly be there, not promising this will be what I'm running but would love to run with the jk! And yes, it was pretty spectacular. Hopefully will be switching to rear steer in the next few days so that won't be much of a problem anyway

The stock bearings aren't the best. I would suggest upgrading if possible.

I order my from Avid bearings.

Thanks for the reccomendaton Eric. Will be looking into that. I need to figure this rig out. I am having a KOH/g6 competition at my house January 7th, and it doesn't have much flex due to my desire to keep it as low as possible. What are your thoughts on running a semi droop suspension? Or maybe even a full droop?

My JK is full droop with some small mechanical pencil springs inside SCX shocks with some med-heavy shock oil. It's a bouncy ride but keeps it low. You can play with thicker shock oils to slow down the droop somewhat. The G-Made link mounts are not setup for a rail frame chassis. They are too high.

Well, my chassis is full tube but it resembles a frame rail chassis. The rear isn't the problem, it flexes fine, but you can see what I'm dealing with up front. I thought of 4 linking it but there still isn't any room to mount the servo...

Hmm... I like the way you cut the mounts Eric. and Id love to go to SCX shocks but I don't have the cash. They would definetly be easier to tune for my rig.

Here's an update of the jeep with the new meats I waited 2 weeks for. Thanks rc4wd....

Thanks man! Crapped the same bearings out of the rear axle again. I really don't like them thought of switching to Wraith axles, or axials. I love the portals though.

Try getting new bearings before giving up on the R1 axles.

Why do you need new wheels ? Stripped the hexes ?

Glad you got them, hopefully they will help.
