Mines set up as a rock racer but i do know that the tires aren't worth a carrot for crawling. If you got some HB sedonas or Rovers fitted it will be a lot better.
Good luck finding a good set up...

Here's a few options:

1.Get rid of those stock tires. The G8 Prolines are great.

2. I weight only weighted my front wheels (8oz in each).

3. The geometry on the 4 links could be made better with moving the links more towards the center of the axle or skidplate (there are optional upgrades available)

4. If you keep the stock shocks, set them up in droop! Lowers the center of gravity.

These 4 things will greatly improve your crawling.

Have fun.

I also switched my lower links in .(delrin skid an gmade lower bent links) an the biggest improvment was going to proline sx swampers new g-8 compound, currently running a integy 35t an hpi sc15 esc, made a rear upper link battery plate, i run 850 an 1600 2cell lipos crawls great an can still pull a wheely or jump if need too, pictures of mine in gmade r1 pics. try some droop suspension, move your lower links in, try some hb white dot rovers or sedonas, youll be liking it alot more.
