Default portal axle torque?

I built a set of these for my CR01. I initially noticed that my truck had more top end due to the gearing. Then I noticed that the torque was also severely diminished. As in can't make it over the rock pile diminished. Anyone else have this issue? Anybody changed the gears? Other suggestions?

Compared to other axles they are a bit high geared... like 2.15:1, I was kinda surprised as my Venom axles are around 3:1.

for more torque go with either larger spur or smaller pinion, not sure about axles
