What environments are you going to be operating in? Dry loose dirt, clay mud, bare rock, etc. From my research and experience I would say something like the Porline Chisels for pure bare rock crawling and Proline Super Swampers for anything else/all terrain. Proline's G8 compound is kickass in both 1.9 and 2.2 sizes

Rock Crushers aren't that great to be honest. They're too hard and need a ridiculous amount of weight to work.

i run the 2.2 super swampers and they work great for me with the weighted integy beadlocks, I do wish I went with the chisels though now.

I can't vouch for 2.2", but a mate ran them in 1.9". We gave him crap because they looked so tiny next our Flat Irons, but then he got through a gate neither of us ever could and we shut up.

rovers are just a great tire, me and my bros have had to take them off to make things a challenge again!. also the new pitbulls are sic, there a 5.75 tire, same with the mickey thompsons. all great tires , seen them all in action, on donner summit. Have fun!

Im running set of tires the rc4wd part# Z-T0097 mud slingers soft compound. Im runing them half cut to the out side. The factor foam is kinda stiff so i swapped them out for a soft set i had. This tire is a good looking tire and it works. I also ran a set of moab tires on the R1 i say they are better than the bighorns. The mud slingres work extremely well the bighorns not bad but took a lot to get traction.
