Default G made durability

I am going to be purchasing a r1 soon and I want to keep it as stock as possible. I willl be putting the delrin skid, bent lower links, using the old links to make extensions for the rear axle, the front axle mounted battery tray, junfac drive shafts, and the sawback underdrive conversion. I am just wanting to know if the axles and trans will hold up for a long time or will parts continually need replacing? I plan on only running a 17.5 or a 13.5 on 2 s lipo not a ton of power but enough to get me out of tough places. Let me know what other changes need to be made or gmade options I should consider.

Run the upgraded CV stub shafts on the front axle. I can snap dog bones on command. After the upgrade ( I have 4ws) I can drive dumb on those axles and they've held up perfect. That and a set of alum knuckles and you'll have a nice reliable rig.

I will look into the knuckles. I have been looking at the cv's already. Are the portal gears holding up well? Are you still running the stock trans?

I've killed 1 set of portal gears and that was a while back when you had to cut down a set of Wheely King CV's to fit and I cut them a little too short. Otherwise, the axles have held up great. I'm running a 10lb tuber too so that much weight is really hard on parts. The only thing gmade I'm running are the axles and a set of XD piggy back shocks. No gmade trans here.

I can't speak for the transmission, but the rest of the drivetrain has really held up well with my 55T motor. Obviously you don't want to give it the beans with a wheel stuffed between boulders or something.
