| Not giving up. be maybe a axial trans?
I know i sound pretty negative, but i got a Gmade r1 with 15 minutes of run time on it... First run 5 minutes stretched a rear yoke. I switched the yoke with a traxxas using the gmade drive line lasted 2 minutes MAX! today i bought the mip xd drive lines for a ax10 mounted them and had the most fun with the Buggy almost 8 minutes with 4x4 then another two or three minutes in front wheel drive only. i didn't mess with it anymore,it has front wheel drive but nothing to the rear while the rear diff works fine. when i laid it to rest tonight on the work bench i turned the rear wheels and it didn't turn the front... -not asking for troubleshooting How big of a pain is it to mount a axial scx10 or wraith trans onto the gmade? thanks -arick Last edited by navyeoseabee; 11-28-2014 at 08:37 PM. |

The stock driveshafts suck. What motor are you running? If it it is brushless then you want to swap to an axial trans.

Ok, I'm just going to warn you that if that spare trans doesn't have metal internal gears, you will need to get some metal internal gears because that motor will strip the stock gears in 2 seconds of running. Also if the motor isn't a sensored brushless it will not crawl well at all. I haven't done the done the swap but I heard from a couple of friends is that it is easy. if it does not line up with the stock holes, you'll need to drill 4 new hole in the skid plate. Also, you may want to get some spare portal gears because brushless is hard on those gears. It may be easier to get a new brushed motor. Good luck.

I have a 4600 kv motor in mine on 2s, with the upgraded junfac carbon shafts, and I've had no problems just yet, although i did have the same problems you were describing in your post. so i did quite a bit of upgrading. Now I'm just looking for steel trans gears......
