Default Whadda......

It's my version of the R1

Just never did stock, started with a kit and box of parts....

I'm at 7" articulation, need to fab longer links, but so far so good .

It looks tall. If you back off the spring tension it'll fully compress the shock travel and get a little more. It'll lower the CoG, too. The driveshaft angles look high also. Any binding? The two tone paint is kinda neat.

It is tall, but totally flexible without binding.
I am totally new on this, not sure how to adjust driveshaft angles, I'm working for more lay down on the shocks

Back off the nuts so that the springs don't get any slack when the shock is fully extended. Then adjust from there as needed. A low Center of Gravity will crawl a lot better. Both long and short wheelbases have their separate advantages and disadvantages.

Mine will nearly go vertical with the heavy wheels.

I can crawl straight up....BUT then no underdrive or dig.....

I'm still messing with springs, I think my rate is too stiff

Spin them down so the spring isn't slack and the rate will be as low as those springs can go. Any softer and you'll have to get a different set.

Wow !
Rain can be good! When it poured out this morning, I went back to the shocks. Just not enough out front...... Went back to the 103mm and moved the mounts .....
Much better !

I wanted to see if the suspension was close....Took off the Ruptures and put on the "stock" tires and foams(from my yeti),I did mount them to a real metal beadlock, and I was totally amazed at how well it worked on its maiden crawl

Yes I have a Bully2 and it blows this R1 away as a pure comp crawler.
That said this rig is just plain fun. Gobs of clearance, great sensored Tekin power with my 17.5 turn brushless! Crawled all afternoon until I broke a rear bearing, that holds axle in, home for a new one!

Interesting failure.....
The portals use 4 8x5x2.5mm bearings. When the inner race broke, out came rear shaft. No biggie, took the rear carrier off and found 3 failed bearings, 2 inner races and 1 outer holder broke. I replaced all 4 on this corner, with eddies...... Just ordered a sleeve of bearings as all 20 are the same junk races.

Saw the all wheel steering, ordered it and the same upgrades as the front and 2 pairs of cvd front axles

I've got to do that, and then a MT body ????

Ran for a couple of hours ....only issue is lack of turning radius

Next week WILL solve that issue as rear steer parts will all be here..... I hope the controller also.
Still a gas !

I've got a Losi Micro crawler I made into a rear steer. I haven't had the time to do it, but if you open one of the servos and move the two outside wires you can leave it as a permanent AWS.

Wow what a huge difference with all wheel steer ! I still don't have matched servos, and will get some, but it turns front rear, together, opposite for crab walking....

Rear steer is an awesome advantage for crawling.

My little rear steer Goat from Fungi is quite capable for its size. Sorry, it doesn't have micro portal axles....
