Post pictures thru tap a talk or a hosting site like fokti or Photobucket . When I looked the bottoms are hidden, that's why the ?

If all mounted the same look at one of the balls for binding. I never used those shocks, don't think it's internal though

The balls that connect to the center of the front axle where binding so i fixed that with a couple of 1mm spacers and i also rebuilt the shocks (really bad quality shocks imo) and the o-rings had too much friction . I greased them and everything was nice and springy after that . So i suppose the oring binding in conjuction with the ball binding created the problem. Can you recommend other suspensions? I also attach some photos through tapatalk (thanks for the info btw)

I'm running the rear yeti shocks up front, and the fronts out back.
My fronts are long and soft, the rears are shorter and firm, I'm running 30 weight fluid .
Not a big fan of that style shock, I ran a set of rc4wd in the back and didn't like them

Welcome Nick! The motor is mounted on that side, and with the shock design on the R1 (floating pistons) a little lean like that is normal. It is just where the weight is and won't hurt a thing.

Standard shocks with an external coil spring can easily be retrofitted if you like. They can be tuned much more than the stock shocks. Take a ruler or caliper, measure from mounting point to mounting point of the shocks at full extension of the suspension, and that's the length shock you want. I believe 110mm or 120mm worked perfectly on mine, but measure to be sure.

Good luck!

Thank you very much everybody ! I did the full sprung setup and the r1 worked so much better ! Also i am 3d printing a full battery plate for the front to mount my lipo there and i hope this helps as well. Also i dont think the stock tires do it justice... !

I've been running a lot of lift in the rear, and my driveshaft angle is awful. I routinely shred only the upper socket, so I flip things. With the junfac at 18.00 a pop the plastic last longer and are 8.00 a pair.
I've also eaten all 4cvds and went back to stock.
These are the only weak areas I've run across

Mike - did all your Junfac driveshafts break on the inner shaft at the spring clip groove? I'm running Junfacs with the 7 degree C hubs which have a little milder driveshaft/differntial angle and mine are holding up well. That said, I probably drive my R1 like an old man too.

Yep same place, but only the output side in the rear. What I do is. Replace one end, reverse shaft use replacement end and next time use other half.... I've actually gone back to the stockers and have less cost and breakage

I do drive mine hard, that Tekin just keeps pulling !

Im running a tekin 17.5 sensored ..... that is close to a 35t brushed. Your 55 is slower and more torquey you could go to a 35t for more speed

Stock shocks work just fine as long as you run them without oil!
