Does anyone have the WMS to WMS measurement for the axles? I've searched around and only find the overall width ( which includes the tires)

First time running today. Performed as well as I expected it to which was ace.

Dig stayed engaged a couple of times but a gentle tap on reverse sorts that out so it wasn't an issue and soon became habit. My summit is the same when shifting lo/hi

I got same issue. I think the dig saft spring on transfer case is too weak. That's bad, if driving crawling comp...

Ordered mine yesterday, along with a HW1080. This is going to be my budget crawler/mudder I think. With cheap bits I don't mind getting it stuck in deep mud. Got 2 x pdi 6221 to go in and a 550 15T can. Think I will have a go at making my own Ali panels...just done my bomber...not too bad though I struggled with the bonnet...was only using tin snips though.

I won't start this until Xmas.. .it's my present to myself. First gmade model.

I don't have a 3 position 3rd channel at the moment...so I was thinking of setting endpoints so I will have 1st and 2nd on the button...then if I need dig just change endpoints quickly....any other tips...im still new to this...~3 months on kits..

That all sounds good, except the part about it being a mudder. The slot the shifter slides in allows dirt/debris to get trapped inside the cavity and screw up the shifting movement. I'm sure someone will come up with a solution, but I haven't seen it yet.

Bugger...so at that point it's just stay in gear and hope for the best...Is it easy to clear out...i know it's something 52 screws to take apart...but can you access inside without having to do this?

"Easy" isn't a word that comes up much when talking about GOM maintenance. At minimum you'd have to take the interior out just to get access, which means also taking the rollcage apart.

So its worse than the bomber...I tend to run without interiors....is that possible with this...prefer ease of access over aesthetics....similar to how I like my women...haha

If you didn't install the interior... you could probably remove the transmission tunnel cover (that ties transmission to transfer case & covers shift rods) easily with only needing to remove your roof panel, & maybe the roof section of the cage...

You can remove the entire cage as a single piece with 14 screws I think it was that I counted.

2x the screw behind the top of the rear shocks (1 each side)
8x screws at the bottom behind the middle side panel (4 each side)
2x screw up where the hood/bonnet and A-pillar meet (1 each side)
2x screws where the front of the cage meets the hood/bonnet (windshield area).

I’m putting a quicker motor in mine, should be easy with only having to remove the front to get the motor out.

So my son saw my kit and has decided he wants one for xmas. So come Xmas day we have 2 GOMs to build. He has decided he wants to run the 540 20T, so Im going to be on the 21T 550 unless the 15T arrives...
