Try the 2x12 redcats on Amazon, we have much better luck with them than the 2x10

So the pins are 2mm diameter? Presumably could a dummy buy a bunch of 2mm steel rod and cut off what he needs when he needs it?

Ive been slowly upgrading the broken pins to 12mm. However even with the 11.7mm, heatshrink, CA and the new Junfac grub screw jobbies it still snapped an 11.7mm. That was on the rear with my 8 year left playing with it.

Think Ive done 2 of the 4 now. My sons GOM hasnt done a pin yet, they are 11.7 with the Heatshrink and CA.

I've not done this myself but have heard others mention piano wire, I think it just needs to be spring steel or maybe its hardened steel, it just needs to be strong enough material.

I am new to RC and just finished putting together the Gom kit. I don't think I would have gotten through this build had it not been for this thread ! Right now I'm working on programming the shift, dig functions and may just have to get by with 1st and 2nd gear until I regain some patience. One thing I am curious about is why reverse is so much faster than forward. I bought the Plus Kit from rcmart that came with a Hackmoto V2 23T 540 motor and Tritronics 60a controller. What is the remedy for this ?

Glad this has helped you.

Normally if your motor is faster in reverse it means the motor wires are the wrong way (not helped by the GOMs backwards gearing) you could try swapping the motor wires and reversing the channel. Others on here my have some other ideas of how to sort it.
I would highly recommend a hobbywing 1080 in a brushed setup.

I used some rather strong epoxy on the pins in the latest round of reinstalls. I'm not sure how well it adhered, but if it did, I might be in trouble if I need to replace the pins again!

Thank You ! reversing wires and channel solved the problem ! That gives me a little inspiration to work on the shifter servo again !

Does anyone know what weight shock oil ships with the GOM? I need to rebuild my shocks and need to replace the oil, wondering what to order.

I dont know but I can say I checked everywhere I could think and there seems to be no mention of it, I ended up going with 30wt but it could maybe do with a bit thicker oil.

Yeah, I've been checking every where as well and no mention. I think I will try some Losi 37.5 weight. Thanks bro.

Hi, guys, does anyone know the difference between option part GM30095 - GA60 differential cover (Matt nickel) and the stock one? I think maybe just the color different.

I think you're right. The physical design looks the same.

On my next Junfac order, I'm going to splurge on the Junfac 3D covers.

With most option parts, you will find they are available in Titanium Grey or Silver. Check carefully when placing your order. I'm going with Titanium Grey on most of mine.

I also want to buy the 3D covers, but I found that it will intervene the steering pull rod.

I have a feeling the stock cast metal cover is heavier than the aluminum version, which is what I'd want (the heaviest cover).

And if it gets in the way of the steering links that would be doubly bad, I dont even get what the protrusion (with he extra holes) in the middle is for? anyone have a clue?

Even the stock diff cover gets in the way at times. Although at least it doesn't usually bind, but pushes the rod around a bit.
