This is good to hear.

I'm a fan of SSD stuff and would love to put some on my truck.

This would be a big deal, as I sold my R1 because of no aftermarket performance parts. Some Diamonds and lockers would be a great start

I’ve got a set of built up SSD diamond axles ready to go underneath my GOM. All I really need ( but have no desire or ability to fabricate) is a panhard mount that fits the axle & the correct length panhard & drag links.

What exact axles are they txbart? Do you have a link? I have a set of ssd diamond axles at home but they are for the bomber. I imagine those arent the ones you are referring to.

Edit: after reading a bit further back it would seem you were referring to wraith axles.

Yep, it’s the Wraith/bomber axles. The Wraith/bombers are a bit narrower, but that’s negligible. The only concession I would have to make is moving the shock mounting to the outside of the link mounts.

Harley answered me on YouTube.

He said it's possible vanquish could make aftermarket stuff for this rig, But the sales would have to improve quite a bit.

He said he has seen the us import numbers and they're not good.

I'm completely speculating, But I hope that isn't the reason they pulled their aluminum option parts from all of the web sites.

It's way too early to cut off support.

I'm thinking it's just a production thing...

I hope that sales are good, there are plenty of parts to offer on this car. Just like any new car, it takes awhile before sales numbers pile up. Regardless if I like it, I'm all for making parts!

Hopefully with the size of the GOM aftermarket support will come once it's more popular and sells well but those go hand in hand, unlike the Yeti XL.

You guys think a set of hpi spider gears would fit this to open up the front diff?

At least they made it possible on these axles.. unlike the vaterra ascender with just a spool. I love my ascender, But that was an oversight on their part.. even though most wouldn't consider unlocking the diff, having the option is nice.

The Yeti XL was kind of a flop, I hope the GOM isn't the same.

Yei XL is not reliable, there are so many required upgrades as soon as you get one, then it still breaks way too frequently. Hopefully the GOM is much better. 4S is too much for it, 3S kinda but don't cartwheel it or hit anything, then it's replace a bunch of broken plastic and bent axles.

I plan to use the GOM as mostly a crawler, so I don't see too much going wrong there. Once I see how it fares, I may gradually bump up the speed/power and see how it does on the other side of the coin.

That sums up most Axials. They need tons of upgrades to make them reliable.

Not the same got GMades in my experience. Build them, run them and beat on them. They can take it with box stock parts for the most part.

Agree with Jato..... I beat the snot out of the R1 with little if any failures. End bells on the driveshafts were torn up, my Wraith was using only the stock cage and skid for that statement to be close

If you under power the yeti xl run it on 3s at 80% turn the punch control to to the lowerst punch settings no timing on 3s its a very reliable rig out of the box i have 0 upgrades on my rtr and i havent had a part failure or bearing failure since tuning the power down 6s is just to much unless you have another grand to through at it

My GOM kit arrived yesterday and one of my plans is to add a pickup truck cab similar to what Hemistorm did to his Bomber. I'm not sure, but it looks like the GOM may be bigger than the Bomber so finding a body that fits may be a challenge. Has anyone been able to compare the size of a GOM and Bomber side by side? Any thoughts about a truck body that might fit the GOM? Thanks.

When I looked up the measurements of both, I remember the bomber being just a hair longer, And a little bit less narrow.

I'm guessing anything that fits the bomber, Will fit the gom as far as bodies go.

Similar wheelbase, And similar sized axles and tires.

I don't know how much that helps though..

I feel there is a gmaid crawler in my future but probably not the gom unless they turn out to be kick a$$
