| Universals for a GOM? You bet!
So the junfac mod didn't work, and I was tired of breaking and spitting pins. Tried most everything. I love the truck, just need reliable axles. Fortunately I have quite a few parts sitting around from other builds. Long story short: Axial XR front universal fits the short side front axle on a GOM(with minor trimming to the end) Axial AR60 long side is about a perfect match for the long side front axle on a GOM You will need these two parts, plus wraith knuckles and everything else works fine. Call it the xr/ar mod? Also bent a rear axle, so now the GOM will be getting 4WS |

That’s good to know. This may be a daft question but is it not possible just to fit AR60s front and rear? Has anybody tried it yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So by the JunFac mod do you mean the set screw that holds the pin in place? thats only part of the upgrade IMO Another important mod for strengthening the CVA's is to get a longer pin (12mm). But this is also good info to know. Quote:
EDIT: Vanquish Currie Rockjock 70s on GOM and I cant find the other.

Iv fitted the ar60 ,..it’s definitely not a direct fit , the shock mount position are too narrow and they have to mounted outboard , the truss needs to be shortened to make space for the Panhard mount and all the links needs adjusting (i think) , I’m waiting for some threaded bar at the moment soon as that comes I should be able to get it done . I personally think the slightly narrower stance you get from the ar60 looks more realistic for scale though

Good Info. I'll probably try the set screw mod + 12mm pins first.

Also do not want AR60 axle housings. I like the currie looking gmade axles. The XR/AR mod does the trick for me.

Ok, I might actually try this now, or at least gather parts for it in case my GOM ones die. How are the positioning of the links with the Wraith knuckles vs the GOM knuckles? Pictures of it all put together with steering links?
