Mine are a bit rough as well but I'm just gonna run them. I imagine the locker won't hold up and if the mesh is bad I can fix it then.

I'm running a hobbywing wp1080 esc and savox 1231 servo

I also think they are showing the links all ****ed up, too. The rear have links that are smooth and links that are groomed and they seem to jump around with what's what

I'm taking my time getting to building this one since it's the last kit I'll buy this year, so I'll debug the assembly kinks vicariously through y'all :-)

TBH, never noticed an issue during my build... I'll check the manual, but it all seemed pretty straightforward for me.

i also may just be an idiot. I'll admit to that, too

so I got the chassis finished. Ive posted a couple thoughts along the way, but one thing i noticed is that the plastic can strip out really easy. its very soft. When i tighten screws, i do it until i feel resistance and stop. Im definitely not one to overtighten, but there were a few that stripped at no sign of resistance. Whether the screws were just too short or something, im no sure, but i'll address those when/if needed.

but now that im basically finished, it feels really good and solid. the shocks are great feeling (just sitting static, anyways) and there is a lot of flex in the front and rear. I figured the cantilever would reduce rear flex, but not even a little bit, its great. cant wait to button up the receiver box, get the electronics finished and test fit the Comanche hard body!

im a little nervous about the rear bumper though. Im using the stock axial rear bumper for the body and I was going to 3d print and adapter to make it fit perfect, but the cantilever suspension is built into the rear bumper bracket, which makes me sad. it may fit perfect as is, but I'd be surprised. otherwise i'll mount them diagonally. either way, im excited!

Box stock, except the wheels & tyres. Proline rims and Flat Iron XL's
Thoughts? It does need improvement, the stock memory foam inserts are way to soft, that will change with some dual stage inserts. That will also allow weight to be added lower down for better COG. It is a little tippy on side hills, but a very capable climber- the gritstone of the Dark peak is hugely grippy.

Looks great (love the body), great looking crawl spot too, nice view. Proline rims and tires look 1000X better too!

Yes, and lowered the CG a few millimeter too, love it!

Right, bought some SSD Axial SCX10.2 parts which showed up earlier today. Camera lens gets in the way of the flash on close up work

So, it went from this:

To this:

No rubbing...

Slightly wider wheel hex's as well- not needed for the mod, but are better than the standard ones. Plus they were in a parts box being unused...

I've been waiting patiently for mine to show up. In the meantime, I have been studying the videos and following builds here and on the FB page. Still waiting for confirmation of whether or not the SCX10-2 front overdrive gears will fit. I'm hoping so. Thanks to all for sharing the info!

I've just ordered a set of brass knuckles from China, hopefully the SSD weights will fit those for a nice heavy front end.

I have a set of Samix brass knuckles with the scale disc brakes to try. I'll post up a pic if they fit.
