Ah, thanks for clarifying. How much did you stretch it?

My BOM is all torn apart right now, but IIRC the WB is now 12.7 inches.

I picked up a Hot Racing SCX10.2 Aluminum Steering Servo Mount SCXT2401. The shock hoop with the integrated Panhard mount doesn't have enough "meat" to screw into with the stock plastic servo mount. Now I can use Loctite to ensure the shock hoop / Panhard mount will not loosen up like it has been doing. The added chassis strength doesn't hurt either!!!! The only thing I had to do was drill a hole in the top half of the under-frame box as the forward two holes don't match up with the HR mount. Now the box is very secure, especially with the added lead weights within. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nice! How did it fail? Total detonation or one particular part? Embed didn't work for me the time before last, worked last time...idk... |

I sheared a couple teeth off of the larger gear. ![]() I have since added a couple of .2mm shims on the transmission shafts to eliminate any lateral gear movement. I also loosened the slipper off a bit, hopefully that will eliminate any trans clicking. I tested the slipper by torquing the slipper by hand; it takes a lot of effort for it to slip, but it will now slip. It was pretty much locked when tightened up like an Axial slipper would normally be in comparison. |

Those wheels are excellent. I've long loved OMF wheels. How did you give it UD?

Awesome job on this BOM build! And as far as the Holmes Hobbies Revolver goes, I'm super-stoked to see so many people installing them and experiencing their incredible driveability. I gotta say that I'm hoping that JRH eventually sees fit to add more kv and can-size options to the Revolver lineup! A 550-size can and some higher-kv versions would allow for their use in a wider range of applications... I'd love a larger can model shoe-horned into my Associated DB8 Nomad Desert Buggy! (Sorry, tangent re-directed) As always, your BOM has become a prime example of what can be done with a particular R/C platform, and I will need to pay closer attention to this thread in the future... ![]()

Underdrive was accomplished by swapping the complete rear axle with a new SSD Pro44 rear axle kit with a 30t/8t ring and pinion gear. I'm using .350 hubs on the front wheels and .475 on the rears. The SSD 10.2 axle is narrower than BOM's. Luckily, the axle mounts for the "V" shocks configuration fits the SSD axle tubes perfectly. ![]() ![]() |

Thanxs soze. When they were first introduced by SSD I didn't care for their style, but I sure do know, especially with the bronze.
