Wow! That looks great! That body fits it very well. I'm not a Ford guy, but I really like the looks of that retro body. Awesome cage mod too. Great idea for the hinge.

Holy crap! You were able to lower the body as well! And still keep the flip open body feature!

On that note. I absolutely love the ability to just flip open the body with the BOM. So convenient.

Wow! It looks great with the Ford body. The Yota wheels were fine on there IMO. People parts swap all the time.

Very impressive performance in the video!

Looks really nice, and in the vids you can really appreciate it’s a performer!
Regarding rear suspension... I understand you’re still running the stock shock/spring combo in a V-style configuration like TF-2’s. I’ve had very bad luck with this config on my Marlin when I went 4-link and coilover shocks. It was either too soft or too stiff with all the diff combinations I tried (plus the shocks would hit the inner side of the frame rails, though that does not apply here). I ended up going cantilever on the outer side of the frame rails and that has been the best working setup on it. I went this way because the axle would not apply as much torque on the suspension system as it would on an inside-the-rail cantilever setup like the BOM has, and this better supports my rigs rear weight (lever phisycs laws and how torque increases/decreases based on distance from the fulcrum... math crap).

Anyways... How does the v-style suspension compares to the inside-the-rails cantilever before you removed the roll cage?
I ask because I want to add a few scale items to the back of my BOM and I know it will get a bit heavy, and I’m afraid that the cantilever system it has will not be able to handle torque twist with the heavier load on the back even if replacing the springs with a heavier rate. I just don’t want to invest in the optional cantilever arms and the rest of its not worth it.

Also, does it looks like the cantilever arms can be mounted in an outside-the-rails config? It would also need to have access to mount the lever pushrod further out on the axle, and the shock relocated outside as well.

Thanks for any light you can shed.

Question for you guys: Does your BOM tip over suddenly. I've done the rear cantilever mod (outside link), installed the Gmade hard springs and the thickest sway bar. Torque twist is gone but on some rock formations it just flips unexpectedly. Really strange because on some smooth side hills i do pretty well.

looks fantastic, i'm actually bringing mine out for its maiden run this coming weekend now that Fundy National park is open (my favorite and most used crawling spot). I built mine over the winter and its just been on a shelf waiting along with a few other rigs.

I love the way this looks!

Can anyone tell me what body cab that is?

It looks really well set up and gave me some ideas for mine, but I do see one discrepancy. It looks like you may have accidentally installed a Traxxas connector on your ESC. I'm sure you'll remedy that eventually. get-vidmate.com instasave

Bilinvic, I was casting about for a "truggy" body for a new project and remembered how much I liked what you did on your BOM. If the work "classy" can be applied to a crawler, yours certainly deserves it. Proline no longer makes this cab, but I found the vaterra Chevy K10 which is close enuf. I will also marry it to a cut down BOM rear cage. Thanks for the inspiration!!
