I just got the r1

Where can I mount the batter besides on the front axle

Mine is just not gonna work there

There's mounts that'll (kinda) fit a full size pack inside the rear of the cage, they were included in the kit. That said, you'd be MUCH better served to just get a much smaller battery instead.

I actually just thought about that .. what size battery would you say? I dont want it to die in an hour lol

It has the ezrun 1040 esc

I ran an 850mah 3s and it was good for 25-30 minutes of constant crawling, longer if just trail use, then just swap it out when it died. I know there's room for bigger, but I don't have an R1 anymore so I'm unable to measure. I'd bet you could find something in the 3000mah range that'll fit, but you'll have to measure and see.

I think what I'm gonna do is put a piece of plexi glass on the rear axle and make something to hold it above the rear links

None of them are puffing and theirs no tears in the outer plastic
