Thanks, after it's maiden voyage, I realized the need for panel protection.
The trans skid mounting holes are just a bit tighter than those on the sliders,
So I elongated one hole on each slider with a jewellers file.
Only run since was more mud less rocks, but I can report that the sliders are
as strong if not stronger than the stock chassis.
It's awesome following all the builds here,

I may throw a set on mine also, I get a lot of rock to body contact even with my bigger tires.

Came up with a driver, Maui, but I think I will call him "Shaka-Back" cuz he always flashes the Shaka back to everyone
My 12 year old took him down for a beach cruise.
20 min or so and popped the front drive shaft.
finished the run in 2wd, now I gotta go clean sand.
Aloha!

In the never ending search for better articulation, I manipulated some scx10 shock hoops to fit and mounted rc4wd 110 mm shocks with a shorter internal spring. Result is an added 3/4" of forced travel, though the leafs will never allow it.

The light buckets and lenses came from www.ledsupply.com , the lense is carclo 10049, the holder is carclo 10496. These are 26.5mm, they also make 20 mm ones. (I think the 20 may be a little bit small for this rig, but the 26.5 is about 2 mm too big) The holder accepts led emitters on a hexagonal star shape MCPCB. Lastly you will need a driver to regulate the power. I ordered cree XM-L T6 and a 8.25 watt 3v- 12 driver board from www.dx.com . I plan on running all the wiring inside the body and connecting to the battery at the deans plug. The manufacturer claims 700 lumens per led, this set up should light up the night! Total cost $24.50 shipped
