Default Back to the basics.

Well after having to unpretzel my leafs again and breaking an axle last run out i decided to get back to the basics. Weighted 1.9 ripsaws and a decent rebuildable 55turn with 11 tooth pinion. Rediscovering picking carefull lines and hunting out traction. Love it!

What setup did you have in there that was doing all the damage.

Good job bud, thats what this rig is all about, slow, careful, scale driving. Picking lines and watching tire placement, finding the traction, seeing the scale suspension actually do its job. 55t with 11t might be a little slow, pick up an extra 35t and a couple more pinions and I think you'll be very happy!

Hopefully other's will see the point of a scale truck too

Had a 35 turn in mine for all of 20 feet. Took it out and put a 55 turn in it using the supplied pinion. I couldn't be happier with the way the truck acts, the speed just fits the look of the truck. Truck reacts on the trails as you would expect an old willys to, its not a rock bouncer.

I was running a titan 12turn on 3s with tsl xls. Was really fun but hard on equipment.

Went to a 45turn 11 pinion and its perfect

Friends don't let friends drive their RC's, they make them buy their own! (Just kidding ) I let a friend of mine attempt to hover my Trex 450, because he wouldn't stop telling me about "all the 6ch heli's" hes flown. It wasn't pretty.
