Ironic that my idea for lights just arrived and I've made holes in the body.....now these are available.

Whatever, Gmade! Mine will be brighter!

Danger of being first to try something. One the other hand, your idea may come out looking better than the light bucket kit. We won't know until we see pictures and opinions on the ease of installation if the light bucket kit.

The front light buckets will need to be trimmed if your body has been trimmed in the front.

The light bucket set looks really neat to me, I made a little video when I received mine, still no install but I don't think it could get any easier.

I know its a necro-thread, but what did everyone use for lenses? My body is already painted, so using the body isn't an option.

You may have screwed up then. You might be able to cut the lenses from the body and glue in scrap pieces of lexan then mount your buckets. I've used various thins to remove paint from lexan but I've never been happy with the outcome. Good luck.

Another option is to use a bolt type LED as a headlight.

A few people used these before the light bucket was available.

I rubbed the paint off using q-tips and nail polish remover (not the non-acetone kind)
It took some time but it worked fine.
