You think a 17.5 or 13.5 would run on 3s?

HobbyKing X-Car 45A ESC - $11
RC4WD 35T motor - $10
Solar D772 servo - $20
Stock gearing

I might change the ESC to the HobbyWing WP-1060 which is a 60A, waterproof ESC. But it's twice the price of the HobbyKing ESC at a "whopping" $20.

I run a 27t Holmes Torquemaster pro, on 14t pinion on 2s. However it feels like its still undergeard, because its revvin zo high when i just go at just walk speed.
Motor doesnt feel warm. What do you guys advice, do i have te right motor for the job, or should ik go with a lower turn motor on 3s?

Some good combos here.

That sounds pretty good, if motor is barely warm then go 1 - 2 teeth larger on the pinion and test it again keeping close eye on motor temps.

Dont think this is the right combo for this car, last ride my Sawback just stopped, if i push it then it goes again. Looks like theres something with the motor, changed it for a cheaper 27t expert motor i had laying around, just to make sure i dont ruin my expencsive pro handwound motor.

Sounds like brushes are worn out, time to turn the comm and install new brushes.
