general consensus Ok so what is the general consensus on the sawback. And how does it compare to a tf2 performance wise? I am looking at both kits, I really want a tf2 but for the price the sawback looks pretty good. I have been crawling for a while and have had a few different rigs, mainly axial and losi. So some feedback would be nice on these. |
Re: general consensus Add anti-wrapbars and it's about as capable and reliable as an SCX10. I haven't regretted buy it once. I know nothing about the TF2 so I can't compare it to that. |
Re: general consensus If I get one I was gonna 3 link it with panhard bar and do a cms setup on it, and do an anti wrap bar on the back |
Re: general consensus TF2 because TF2. |
Re: general consensus I wish, but broke because broke lol |
Re: general consensus Start saving! |
Re: general consensus I have both. There's only so much you can do with a leaf spring truck, so for the fun of driving slow I drive both. If your budget says Sawback - get it. Great truck!"thumbsup" |
Re: general consensus I am going to have a tf2 someday, but I think I'm gonna get the saw back first |
Re: general consensus I've had 3 TF2's and they are my favourite rig. But these are a great value chassis. If your building on a budget these are a great option, and you can always add some RC4WD bling afterwards. If you build the leafs so the helpers go underneath the main leaf it removes most of the axle wrap, and if you a hard shell and weighted wheels it will still articulate easily. I had an R1 a while back and Gmades bearings where simply terrible and these don't look any better so will be replacing those very soon. |
Re: general consensus Wheel weights are a must lol. No hard shells, just an fj40 body. And as soon as I can come up with some money I'm gonna go talk to my uncle who works at a main hobbies about trying to use his discount lol |
