| Any Sawback owners buy & use the metal spacer kit? http://www.junfac.com/shop/index.php...roducts_id=587 I bought this kit and installed today!! All I can say is very cool in some ways but wow the suspension just loosened up big time!! It seems with the plastic stock spacers you could tighten up your suspension by tightening things too tight! With the metal spacers I have everything tight and the suspension articulates lots!! It isn't a bad thing but it will make me change my leafs around. I plan on putting the mid size helper under the main leaf to try and help with the axle wrap!! Anyone else try the kit I linked to? It was cheap enough and shipping from Korea was dirt cheap!! I love JunFac!! Fast to arrive in Canada too! One week exactly to get the parts I ordered! I bought some spare leafs because they had them!! |

I used the spacers when I built my Sawback. I got them as a bonus for the preorder. They do help with the alignment and movement of the springs. Here is the spacer kit just out of the package and still bright and shiny. If you look closely you can see some of the spacers on the frame. Here on the springs with the bushing in it. |

Lucky you got it as a bonus! Oh well it was under $30.00CA and I am happy with the new flex but have to deal with the axle wrap. Tomorrow I will change my leafs around.

They sound good. Not teaching you how to suck eggs but if you undo the shocks at the top, undo the outer leaf hangers you can swing the axle down, then just loosen the 4 nuts per leaf mount to the point they might fall off then you can slide the helper underneath into position. Just saves a bit of time.

I should have read your post first..lol. I just played around with the rear leaf packs. What I did was put the longer of the two helpers under the main and thought let me try putting the shorter on top of the main. Of course I took the rear end right out. It is easy compared to the front end so I did it first. I like the results better now. It isn't too stiff yet flexy enough. I think it gets almost 2 inches of flex with the shocks on. I am leaving the shocks on because I like how they look. The front end might just stay the way it is for now. I have the longer helpers on top of the main leaf and zip tied together. It works. I doubt I will do any trail running soon. It is cooler here now and rainy!! Not a fun season, unless you like that weather. |
